Cynthia Bailey, the former ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ star, is showing support for Denise Richards as the actress navigates her divorce from Aaron Phypers.
“She is a friend of mine, and I’m rooting for her and praying for her, and I’m very supportive of her,” Bailey told People in an exclusive interview.
The 57-year-old reality TV personality expressed genuine concern for what Richards is going through.
“I’m heartbroken for her. I know that she’s going through a lot right now.”
Richards filed for divorce from Phypers in September after six years of marriage. The 53-year-old actress cited irreconcilable differences in court documents.
Bailey emphasized that she’s staying out of the specifics of the situation. “I don’t get into people’s personal business like that, but I just want her to know that I’m here for her,” she explained.
The two women developed their friendship through the entertainment industry. Bailey noted that she and Richards have maintained a strong connection over the years.
Richards has been dealing with the divorce proceedings while continuing her acting career. She recently appeared in several film projects and has been focusing on her three daughters.
Bailey’s support comes during what sources describe as a challenging time for Richards. The actress has remained relatively private about the split, making only brief public statements.
The former couple married in 2018 in an intimate ceremony. They don’t have children together, though Richards has three daughters from previous relationships.
Bailey herself went through a public divorce from Mike Hill in 2022 after two years of marriage. She understands the difficulties of ending a high-profile relationship.
Moving Forward
Richards continues working on various projects while handling her personal matters. She’s maintained her social media presence and professional commitments throughout the divorce process.
Bailey stressed that friendship and support matter most during difficult times. She plans to continue being there for Richards as she navigates this transition.
