Kelley Wolf was arrested late Tuesday, Aug. 26 on suspicion of electronic communication harassment and electronic disclosure of personal identifying information.
The Real World: New Orleans star is being held at Summit County Jail in Utah amid her contentious divorce from actor Scott Wolf.
Wolf’s arrest appears connected to social media posts that violated a court-ordered gag order in the couple’s custody battle.
Arrest Details
A Summit County public information officer confirmed Wolf, 48, was detained at her Utah home. No formal charges have been filed yet, and she hasn’t appeared before a judge.
No bail has been set. It’s unclear if she’s obtained legal counsel.
Wolf posted about her arrest on Instagram Stories before being taken into custody. “The police are at my house to arrest me. I have no idea why,” she wrote.
“I am not suicidal. I am no danger to anyone. I have done nothing. I am so scared. So confused.”
Social Media Posts Tied to Charges
Electronic harassment involves using digital platforms to repeatedly target someone with threatening or harmful behavior. This includes sending unwanted messages, sharing private information without consent, or publishing false statements.
Doxxing means sharing someone’s personal details like addresses or phone numbers without permission.
Wolf had been posting confrontational content that included doxxing friends and family members. The posts contained insults and allegations against Scott Wolf and included communications with their three minor children.
Court-Ordered Restrictions Violated
A Utah judge signed a temporary agreement on Tuesday that includes a social media and press gag order. The document, reviewed by PEOPLE, prohibits both parents from posting about each other, their marriage, their children, or their divorce.
The agreement also bars them from making disparaging remarks about the other parent to their children.
This updated the previous decision from July 15, which was filed Aug. 22 following an Aug. 4 review hearing.
Custody Battle Details
Wolf and Scott Wolf share three children: Jackson, 16, Miller, 12, and Lucy, 11.
The couple was married for 21 years before Kelley announced their separation in June. Scott filed for divorce on June 10.
Under the current agreement, the Party of Five actor has temporary sole physical custody and decision-making authority. Kelley Wolf has supervised parenting time, including three permitted video or phone calls per week.
She can respond if the children initiate additional contact.
Allegations and Counter-Claims
Scott Wolf provided a statement to PEOPLE on Aug. 15 calling Kelley’s abuse claims “completely baseless and incredibly dangerous.” These claims were made both online and in several 911 calls.
He shared text messages where Kelley appeared to tell him she planned to “make claims” against him to “create more urgency to get the kids back.”
In the messages, she wrote that Scott had “made me into a villain” after her restraining order was dismissed July 19. She said the only way she could “fight back” was to “produce claims that are either the same as yours or greater.”
Scott Wolf stated: “I am now choosing to come forward and share that she has described to me her plans to ‘make claims’ about me, although she also admitted, ‘I do not believe they’re true.'”
“I hope that anyone who might speak publicly or report on such things, will consider this before spreading any further information from a clearly unreliable and completely compromised source.”
Kelley Wolf’s Response
Kelley Wolf told PEOPLE exclusively: “I will be very clear when I say this: I don’t believe that Scott would [abuse our children].”
“I’ve lost my career, my reputation, my children, my integrity, my honor, my devotion to my marriage. As a parent, I have literally lost everything except my life. I’ve done everything strategic, and I’m hopeful for my children.”
The case continues as Wolf remains in custody pending formal charges and a court appearance.
