Ray J was arrested Thursday after he allegedly pulled a gun on his ex-wife Princess Love during a livestreamed argument on Thanksgiving.
The singer was booked into a Los Angeles jail and charged with making a criminal threat, according to TMZ. His bail was set at $50,000. He was released later that same day.
The Los Angeles Police Department didn’t respond to requests for comment. Representatives for Ray J and Love also didn’t respond.
Video footage from the livestream shows the heated argument between the 44-year-old musician and his 41-year-old former spouse.
In the video, Ray J accuses Love and others of wanting to drive drunk.
“Drive drunk, Princess,” the artist, whose real name is William Ray Norwood Jr., says before Love appears on camera holding their daughter.
The former couple has two children together: 7-year-old daughter Melody Love and 5-year-old son Epik Ray.
“Ray, you just pointed a gun,” Love claims in the video. Ray J responds, “Drive drunk, Princess. Go ‘head. You wanna take my kids? You and ‘yo drunk cousin?”
Ray J then calls Love and her cousins “alcoholics.” When he asks who will drive if they leave, Love replies that she’s not driving because he just pointed a gun at them.
“I didn’t point nothing at y’all,” Ray J states.
Later in the exchange, Love tells him all she wanted was to have a good Thanksgiving. She also accuses the singer of being “a woman abuser.”
The situation escalates further when Love tells Ray J she called the police.
“I’ll shoot the f—ing police,” he responds.
According to TMZ, Ray J started the livestream by saying he was having “the worst Thanksgiving in the f—ing world.”
The outlet reported that the video also showed Ray J with a gun, making threats about anyone who approached his door.
