Rachel Zegler may have hinted at a breakup with boyfriend Nathan Louis-Fernand in her New Year’s Day Instagram post. The pair had been dating since July after meeting during their London production of Evita.
The Snow White actress shared a telling Instagram story on Thursday that included a screenshot of a Google search for “how to fumble a baddie.” She also posted a drawing by artist Ben Lenovitz showing a woman walking a dog while smoking. The illustration reads “I’ll never get a boyfriend.”
“hello twenty-twenty-six,” Zegler wrote in the caption.
Signs of a Split
Photos that Zegler previously posted with Louis-Fernand appear to have been deleted from her Instagram page. She also doesn’t follow the dancer on Instagram anymore, though he still follows her account.
The costars were spotted together as recently as Thanksgiving Day in New York City during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Their Summer Romance
Zegler and Louis-Fernand met while starring together in the West End revival of Evita at London’s Palladium Theatre. The production ran from June through September 2024.
They were first spotted getting close at a Sabrina Carpenter concert in London in early July. An insider told PEOPLE at the time that they “had an instant connection” upon meeting.
The pair went Instagram official with their relationship in July.
In August, Zegler praised Louis-Fernand as “the best of the best” in Instagram Stories about her Evita castmates. She wrote “and you get to see @nathanlfernand tonight?!? palladium audiences you are so so so so lucky.”

Zegler, 23, is a Golden Globe Award winner known for her roles in West Side Story and The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.
She was previously in a relationship with actor Josh Andrés Rivera, her costar from both West Side Story and The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. That relationship lasted from 2021 until late 2024.
A representative for Zegler didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.
The actress has several upcoming projects, including a new film titled She Gets It from Me starring Marisa Tomei.
