Nicole Kidman Spotted in Dallas 4 Days After Filing for Divorce from Keith Urban

Nicole Kidman attended a charity auction in Dallas on Saturday, just four days after filing for divorce from Keith Urban.

The actress presented an award at amFAR’s Dallas fundraiser on October 4th. The event supports the organization’s AIDS research and HIV prevention work worldwide.

Kidman filed for divorce on September 30th, citing irreconcilable differences. She listed their separation date as the same day she filed the papers.

The couple had actually separated in early summer after 19 years of marriage.

The charity auction took place at the home of United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby. Teri Hatcher hosted the event, while other attendees included Diana Ross, Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan, and former Dallas Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki.

Kidman presented Sheridan with the night’s Award of Inspiration. The two work together on the television series Lioness.

Custody and Family Details

Kidman and Urban married in 2006 and have two daughters together. Sunday Rose is 17, while Faith Margaret is 14.

In her divorce filing, Kidman requested to be the primary residential parent for their daughters.

“She’s been stressed because she knew the separation would eventually become public and she was dreading it. But she’s surprisingly level-headed and calm. Now that it’s out, she’s just focused on what’s ahead and her girls.”

A family source told PEOPLE that Kidman had been “fighting to save the marriage” even during their private separation over recent months.

“She didn’t want this,” the source said.

Kidman’s family has rallied around her during this time. Her sister Antonia has been particularly supportive. The two were spotted walking together on October 1st – Kidman’s first public appearance since news of the divorce broke.

The amFAR appearance marks Kidman’s return to public events following the high-profile split from the country music star.
