Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have finalized their divorce settlement three months after the actress filed court papers.
The former couple reached an agreement that was filed in court on Tuesday, Jan. 6. Court documents obtained by PEOPLE show both parties waived all rights to child and spousal support.
Each will pay their own legal fees.
The Perfect Couple actress, 58, originally filed for divorce in October citing irreconcilable differences. She and the country music star were married for over 18 years after tying the knot in June 2006.
Custody Arrangement
Faith, 15, and Sunday, 17, will live primarily with their mother. Kidman has custody for 306 days per year while Urban gets 59 days.
The girls will spend every other weekend with their father from 10 a.m. Saturday to 6 p.m. Sunday.
Both parents share joint responsibility for major decisions about their daughters’ lives. The parenting plan requires both Kidman and Urban to “behave with each other and each child so as to provide a loving, stable, consistent and nurturing relationship with the child even though they are divorced.”
“They will not speak badly of each other or the members of the family of the other parent. They will encourage each child to continue to love the other parent and be comfortable in both families.”
A source first confirmed to PEOPLE in September that the Oscar-winning actress and musician had separated. TMZ initially reported the breakup, citing sources who said they’d been living apart since early summer.
Family Support
“Nicole’s sister Antonia has been a rock and the entire Kidman family has come together to support one another,” an insider told PEOPLE at the time.
“She didn’t want this. She has been fighting to save the marriage.”
Despite their separation, both parents remain focused on their daughters. A source told PEOPLE in November that Faith and Sunday are adjusting to splitting time between their parents.
“Their daughters live with Nicole, but spend as much time with Keith as they want,” the insider shared. “There is no drama.”
Kidman celebrated New Year’s by sharing a photo on her Instagram Stories showing her and her daughters from behind with their arms around each other. They looked out over Sydney’s harbor with fireworks in the background.
“Looking forward into 2026 xx,” Kidman wrote across the image.
