PEOPLE can exclusively confirm that Brittany Wisniewski and musician Mod Sun have split after five months together.
The Love Is Blind season 7 star, 33, and the 38-year-old musician officially called things off in April 2025. The pair was first linked in November 2024.
“Just to clear the air, Mod and I have gone our separate ways. It was a fun time and I’m grateful for the experiences, but I’m in a new place now and ready for what’s next.”
Wisniewski tells PEOPLE that she’s “excited to focus on what I love, keep growing, and yes – start dating again.”
The reality star says the couple “grew apart largely due to distance.” Though they officially ended things in April, they’ve “hung out a bit since then,” which prompted her to wait until now to make a statement.
Timeline of Their Relationship
The duo was first spotted having dinner at Catch Steak in Los Angeles in November 2024. The night before, they were seen showing PDA at a Los Angeles bar after one of Mod Sun’s concerts, according to TMZ.
In December 2024, the singer briefly commented on their relationship status.
“Things are great,” Mod Sun (né Derek Ryan Smith) told TMZ at the time.
Previous Relationships
Wisniewski was previously engaged to her Love Is Blind costar Leo Braudy, 31. Their relationship quickly fell apart after their first face-to-face meeting when Wisniewski couldn’t say “I love you” back to Braudy.
The pair did travel to Miami together but ultimately called off their engagement.
“The chemistry just wasn’t there. We had a talk in the beginning about how this could work and then time went on during the trip and the chemistry just wasn’t there and we mutually felt that.”
Wisniewski told PEOPLE in October 2024 that their split was mutual and respectful. “Leo checked off a lot of the boxes of what I wanted in a man. He’s just not my person.”
Mod Sun was previously engaged to Avril Lavigne, 40. They got engaged in March 2022 but split in February 2023 after being on and off for months, according to sources close to the couple.
