The Summit County Sheriff’s Office confirms they responded to a “keep the peace” call on July 29, escorting Kelley Wolf as she attempted to enter her Park City, Utah home nearly two weeks after her estranged husband Scott Wolf dropped a restraining order against her.
The author and public speaker documented her attempts to get inside the home in a video shared on Instagram. Wolf, 48, said she was trying to retrieve basic items and money she’d saved in the house.
“I have just had enough… I’m sick of being treated like I’m crazy.”
Before meeting with officers, Wolf expressed frustration with public perception of the situation.
“I have a sassy attitude, my God, but being called things like grandiose, bipolar, schizophrenic, crazy, being banned from places I’ve been forever is just rude, honestly,” she said.
Wolf referenced a no longer active restraining order and “two involuntary holds” as she attempted to enter a security code at the front door. She said she wanted to file for divorce before the Party of Five actor but he “beat me to the punch.”
Failed Entry Attempts
Wolf tried multiple ways to get inside the home. Though the garage door opened, she couldn’t access the interior. She removed a window screen and attempted to push another window open as officers called Scott, who didn’t answer.
“I just want to get a few things… I tried to do this as peacefully [possible],” she said. “I’ve called you guys eight times in January saying I didn’t feel safe.”
Her 16-year-old son Jackson responded to the Instagram video, writing, “This is insane mom what are you doing.”
Police Response Details
A spokesperson from the Summit County Sheriff’s Office provided specific details about the incident. The original call came in at 7:53 AM, but the deputy didn’t meet with Wolf at the residence until 9:45 AM.
“The deputy advised that the complainant had left the scene at 11:34,” the spokesperson said.
Police escorted Wolf as she tried several entry methods, but she was unsuccessful. It appeared the locks on the house had been changed.
Wolf “made some phone calls to family, had some conversations with family [but] still wasn’t able to gain access into the house and ultimately left.” She never made contact with anyone who might have been inside, and it’s unknown whether anyone was home.
The spokesperson confirmed Wolf mentioned a court order, but their deputy searched for any orders that would prohibit her from being at the residence and “were unable to locate any existing orders.”
Custody and Divorce Proceedings
The incident occurred nearly two weeks after Scott’s restraining order against Kelley was dismissed on July 19. Court documents reviewed by PEOPLE show a July 15 temporary stipulated agreement covering custody, visitation, finances and communication.
Scott Wolf, 57, was granted temporary sole physical custody of their three children: Jackson, Miller (12), and Lucy (11). Kelley received “liberal” supervised visitation.
The agreement allows Kelley supervised parenting time coordinated by counsel and three supervised video or phone calls per week during reasonable hours. If a court-appointed guardian raises concerns, all parties must reevaluate whether supervision remains necessary.
A social media gag order prohibits either party from posting about one another, their marriage, children or the divorce.
The agreement states the goal is for Kelley to eventually regain unsupervised parenting time with her children.
Wolf announced her split from the actor last month, citing irreconcilable differences in the ongoing divorce proceedings.
