Keith Urban had a playful reaction when a fan brought up his ex-wife Nicole Kidman during his Nashville concert on October 17.
The country singer was wrapping up his High and Alive World Tour at Bridgestone Arena when the awkward moment happened during a fan interaction.
“What’s your name?” Urban asked a member of the crowd, as seen in a video shared by Nashville Experience on Instagram.
The fan’s initial response wasn’t picked up by the microphone, but Urban’s reaction suggested she’d said something unexpected.
“What? I’m not going to like your name? What?”
Urban asked, clearly confused.
The fan then spoke directly into the microphone:
“It’s Nicole.”
Urban’s response was pure theater. He dropped to the floor onstage and laid there for a moment while the crowd roared with laughter.
The 57-year-old musician also threw one arm up to the sky in mock exasperation before getting back on his feet.
Other videos from the Tennessee show captured Urban having emotional moments with fans, including when the audience held up red paper hearts during his performance of “Somebody Like You.”
The Nashville concert came just one day after Urban had to cancel a show in Greenville, South Carolina due to laryngitis.
His longtime laryngologist had placed him on complete vocal rest, according to a statement from the Bon Secours Wellness Arena.
“Hey Greenville, I’m so SO sorry to have to cancel the show,” Urban wrote. “I know all the logistics it takes to get to a concert these days and I’ve never taken any of that, or any of YOU for granted.”
Recent Divorce Filing
Urban’s been touring while dealing with his split from Nicole Kidman. The Oscar winner filed for divorce last month after 19 years of marriage.
A source told PEOPLE that Kidman didn’t make the decision lightly.
“Their split is turning dramatic. Nicole’s hurt and feels betrayed. She wanted to save their marriage and believed that she could, but it seems he’s already moved on.”
The Practical Magic actress listed September 30 as their separation date and cited irreconcilable differences in divorce documents obtained by PEOPLE.
Kidman’s also seeking primary custody of their daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.
The fan interaction shows Urban’s handling the personal situation with humor, at least in public. His theatrical response got laughs from the Nashville crowd and showed he’s not taking himself too seriously during what’s obviously a difficult time.
