Natasha Archer and Chris Jackson have split after eight years of marriage, according to The Daily Mail.
Their separation comes just weeks after Kate Middleton’s longtime aide left her role at Kensington Palace.
“They haven’t been together for some time. Chris has attended a string of social events on his own,” a friend of the couple told the publication on Sept. 6.
Chris didn’t respond when PEOPLE contacted him for confirmation of the split on Saturday.
Natasha, 37, and Chris, 45, married in Mouliets-et-Villemartin, France, in 2017. They met while working together.
The couple share two sons.
Their split follows PEOPLE’s exclusive report on July 9 that Natasha was leaving Kensington Palace after 15 years. She’s setting up her own private consultancy firm.
Recent Signs of Separation
Natasha and Chris were last photographed together during an Easter trip to Crete, Greece.
Chris, who’s worked as a royal photographer for over a decade, shared highlights from their vacation on Instagram.
“Very special Easter in Crete Really enjoyed using the camera this week, not a bad spot for it! Massive thanks to our local @simpsontravel for another great recommendation ,” he wrote.
A month earlier, Chris marked Mother’s Day in the U.K. by sharing photos of Natasha with their sons. He called her “Tash” in the post.
“Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mother’s out there! ” he wrote on March 30.
But Natasha was notably missing from Chris’s Father’s Day post in June.
He shared photos of himself with their sons before a boat trip. In one image showing him rowing, he wasn’t wearing his wedding ring.
Their Palace Careers
Natasha started as Kate’s personal assistant in 2007. She moved into styling in 2014.
She received the Royal Victorian Order in 2019. That’s an honor given for service to the royal family.
Natasha was promoted to senior private executive assistant to Kate and Prince William in 2022.
The Royal Family values Chris’s work too. King Charles chose him to take his 20th wedding anniversary portrait with Queen Camilla in Italy this year.
