Hugh Jackman and Deborra-lee Furness have officially finalized their divorce.
Online court records from New York’s Suffolk County Supreme Court show that a judgment of divorce was filed on June 12. The case was later uploaded to the website on Monday, June 23. The case status is now listed as "Disposed."
Furness, 69, filed for divorce from Jackman, 56, on May 27.
This came roughly two years after the pair initially announced they had ended their marriage in September 2023.
Her divorce filing indicated the terms were uncontested. They would only need a sign-off from a judge.
After Furness’ divorce filing, she issued a statement about the process.
“My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal,” Furness said.
"It’s a profound wound that cuts deep, however I believe in a higher power and that God/the universe, whatever you relate to as your guidance, is always working FOR us."
She continued describing her experience with the divorce.
“This belief has helped me navigate the breakdown of an almost three-decade marriage. I have gained much knowledge and wisdom through this experience. Even when we are presented with apparent adversity, it is leading us to our greatest good, our true purpose.”
The couple married in 1996 and share two adult children.
Their daughter Ava and son Oscar are both now adults. Jackman and Furness announced their separation in 2023 after 27 years of marriage.
“Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives.”
They described this as "the sole statement either of us will make" about their separation at the time.
Furness’ divorce filing came about four months after Jackman went public with a new relationship. Jackman and Sutton Foster made their romance official in January.
Foster co-starred with Jackman on Broadway in The Music Man in 2022.
Foster filed for divorce from her ex-husband Ted Griffin in October 2024. They had been married for 10 years.
Furness was recently seen in New York City on May 20 at Parsons School of Design’s 2025 Parsons Benefit. This was just days after Jackman and Foster, 50, were photographed holding hands during a walk together in the city.
