Elijah Blue Allmans Wife Says Cher Funded Their Lifestyle During Divorce

Marieangela King filed new court documents on June 20 claiming that Cher helped fund her lifestyle during her marriage to the singer’s son, Elijah Blue Allman.

King is requesting $6,500 monthly in spousal support from Allman. She says she has less than $4,000 in assets.

The 37-year-old describes living a high-end lifestyle during their 13-year relationship. This included staying at 5-star hotels in Europe and flying first class.

King also had access to private pools, gyms, personal chefs and maids during the marriage, according to PEOPLE.

Expensive Dining and Travel

The court filing details regular meals at expensive restaurants. King mentions dining at Mr. Chow, Nobu and Chateau Marmont with Allman.

She describes this as her "marital standard of living" that she can’t maintain alone.

King lists her job as "singer/songwriter/entertainer, housewife." She says she’d need at least 10 years of executive-level work to support herself at the same level.

Claims About Allman’s Income

King claims Allman receives regular money from several sources. These include music royalties, trust funds and "major contributions" from family.

She says he gets at least $20,000 monthly from two separate accounts.

King specifically mentions "financial support directly from his mother" in funding their lifestyle.

A representative for Cher didn’t respond to requests for comment.

Financial Situation

In a separate June 20 filing, King reports having only $3,651.96 in liquid assets.

She’s asking for $6,500 monthly to cover basic living expenses and a car. King also wants $10,000 to hire an attorney.

“I am not requesting excess or luxury. I am requesting the Court’s help in obtaining clarity and fairness.”

King says she’s been "a homemaker and supportive spouse for the past 13 years." She argues it will take time to return to work and achieve her previous standard of living.

Marriage Timeline

Allman, 48, and King married in December 2013.

King filed for divorce in March, citing irreconcilable differences.

“We had a beautiful 13-year journey, filled with memories I’ll always cherish.”

This isn’t their first divorce filing. King previously filed in 2021, but Allman successfully dismissed it in February 2024.

Recent Health Issues

Allman was hospitalized on June 14 after authorities found him "acting erratically."

A source said Cher, 79, was doing "everything she can to help her son and help him get well."

King expressed continued support for her estranged husband despite their legal battle.

“I want to state, without hesitation, that I will always root for him. My support is steadfast.”

Allman was released from the hospital several days later.
