Lily Allen recreated the look of her former Brooklyn home during her Saturday Night Live performance on December 13.
The singer, 40, performed “Madeline” and “Sleepwalking” from her latest album West End Girl on Studio 8H’s stage. The set design featured elements that closely matched the home she shared with ex-husband David Harbour.
Items from the SNL stage included decorative wallpaper, pink silk bedsheets, a green chair and palm tree lamp.
These details appeared in a 2023 Architectural Digest house tour featuring the former couple’s Brooklyn townhouse. During that video, Harbour, 50, praised the elaborate floral wallpaper made by French company Zuber.
“The wallpaper is by a company named Zuber,” the Stranger Things actor said. “They are unbelievable. I try to stay away from their shop because you can go in and flip through their books, and I just want every single wallpaper.”
Viewers noticed the similarities in YouTube comments on Allen’s performance of “Sleepwalking.” One commenter called the wallpaper choice “iconic.” Another wrote that using the same wallpaper “David was obsessing over on their open door for the scenery is so diabolical.”
Allen and Harbour separated in February after four years of marriage.
PEOPLE confirmed the split through an insider who said Allen’s “marriage has been crumbling, and they have split.” The couple listed their townhouse for $8 million following the separation.
Performance Details
Both songs Allen performed on the Josh O’Connor-hosted episode deal with relationship difficulties. “Madeline” tells the story of a narrator confronting a woman who slept with her husband. “Sleepwalking” explores frustrations over a past relationship.
Dakota Johnson made a surprise cameo during “Madeline.”
The Materialists actress, 36, sat hidden behind a sheer curtain reading messages in character as the song’s titular figure. Near the song’s end, Johnson stepped out to reveal herself and embraced Allen.
Allen announced plans for a North American tour earlier this month. She’ll perform West End Girl in its entirety across nine cities including Toronto, Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Atlanta, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
The tour represents her biggest North American run to date.
