David Geffen & Ex David Armstrong Marriage Gets Termination Date

A judge ruled Monday that David Geffen’s marriage to David Armstrong will be terminated on Nov. 24, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE.

Both men will be declared legally single.

The decision comes eight months after the billionaire music executive filed for divorce from Armstrong in May. Geffen, 82, cited irreconcilable differences in his filing and listed their separation date as Feb. 22, 2025.

The couple was married for two years.

The couple didn’t have a prenup. Recent court documents show that spousal support, property division, and attorney fees will be determined later.

Legal Battle Intensifies

The divorce took a complicated turn in July when Armstrong, 32, sued Geffen for breach of contract.

The dancer claimed Geffen broke his promise to provide “lifelong support” during their divorce proceedings. Armstrong alleged that Geffen evicted him and cut off financial support.

He described their relationship as having a “dark power dynamic.”

Armstrong claimed he’d been “exploited by a billionaire hiding behind a façade of philanthropy,” and that he’d given “his body, his love, his labor, his youth” to keep Geffen satisfied.

Geffen’s attorney called the lawsuit “false” and “pathetic.”

Armstrong dropped the suit without prejudice in October, meaning he could potentially refile it later.

Marriage Background

The couple married in March 2023. How they first met remains unclear, though Armstrong made claims in his legal filing about their initial encounter.

He alleged that Geffen found him on SeekingArrangements.com and paid him $10,000 on their first meeting.

Geffen is worth $9.1 billion, according to Forbes. He founded Asylum Records and Geffen Records. He also co-founded DreamWorks Animation.

The music executive owns luxury properties worldwide and maintains an extensive contemporary art collection.
