Christine Brown shared new insights about love and relationships following her divorce from Kody Brown.
The 53-year-old Sister Wives star posted reflections on Instagram about finding her true match with husband David Woolley. Christine split from Kody in November 2021 and married Woolley in October 2023.
“Love isn’t supposed to be confusing. It’s not supposed to feel heavy or leave you guessing. It’s not supposed to hurt.”
Christine wrote the message alongside photos from her recent trip to Germany with Woolley. She described how peaceful and light their relationship feels compared to her past experiences.
The Instagram post included travel photos and her thoughts on healthy love.
“You deserve love that feels kind, safe, and steady. And it’s never too late to believe that kind of love is possible.”
Finding Love Again
Christine and Woolley went public with their romance in February 2023. They got engaged two months later before marrying that October.
The TLC star described their immediate connection during a Sister Wives episode.
“I legit felt calm for the first time in my life. And I put my hand on his heart and it was racing so fast and my heart was racing so fast, but it was like a breath.”
She told PEOPLE in September 2023 that Woolley “has more integrity than anybody I know.”
Christine praised his character and reliability. “His word is his bond, and it means everything to him,” she said.
Breaking the Pattern
Christine became the first of Kody’s four wives to leave him in November 2021.
Her departure triggered a domino effect. Janelle and Meri both ended their relationships with Kody within 14 months.
During a Sister Wives: One on One special in December 2023, Christine explained the differences between her relationships. She said Kody “only wanted me to be positive” and “only wanted me to be fun.”
Christine claimed Kody “only liked the fun little bubbly part of me” and she’s “not going to stuff it anymore.”
The reality star’s Instagram post included hashtags like #ChooseJoy, #YouAreWorthy, #LifeAfterHard, and #HealthyLove.
Christine’s message emphasized that finding genuine love is possible at any stage of life.
