Brittany Cartwright gave fans an update on her divorce from Jax Taylor during a cast panel for The Valley at BravoCon in Las Vegas on Friday.
The 36-year-old reality star said she’s “praying” her divorce will be finalized next month. The proceedings were originally scheduled to wrap up on October 15 but have been delayed.
“Things are happening with Jax,” Cartwright told the audience. “Fingers crossed.”
Cartwright filed for divorce in August 2024, six months after the couple separated. The former Vanderpump Rules stars share 4-year-old son Cruz.
She also confirmed that Taylor won’t appear on season 3 of The Valley. The BravoCon crowd applauded when she said he will “absolutely not” be part of the show.
“A lot more funny moments this season,” she teased.
Taylor Steps Away From Show
Taylor announced his departure from the Bravo series in July. The 46-year-old said he was focusing on his recovery and mental health.
“Right now, my focus needs to be on my sobriety, my mental health, and coparenting relationship,” he told Variety. “Taking this time is necessary for me to become the best version of myself – especially for our son, Cruz.”
Taylor entered an inpatient mental health facility for 30 days last summer, just weeks before Cartwright filed for divorce.
He’s since opened up about his struggles with addiction and said he was “disgusted” by his behavior toward Cartwright while watching season 2 of The Valley.
Helping Others in Similar Situations
Cartwright said sharing her divorce journey on television serves a bigger purpose.
“If I could help people learn how to get out of a toxic situation, that was really important to me.”
The Kentucky native has been open about the challenges in her marriage throughout the show’s run.
During the panel, Cartwright also addressed her relationship status. “I am single!” she declared.
She confirmed last month that she’d split from Brandon Hanson after two months of dating. At BravoCon, she called it a “short-lived thing” and clarified she wasn’t a “homewrecker” since Hanson was also separated.
A source previously told PEOPLE that Cartwright had “found comfort” in Hanson as both were going through divorces and “experiencing similar life changes.”
BravoCon 2025 continues through Sunday at Caesars Forum in Las Vegas.
