Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia fired back at ex-boyfriend Zach Bryan after the country singer posted a video burning a Barstool Sports flag on Monday.
Bryan shared the clip on his Instagram Stories, targeting the media company that hosts LaPaglia’s podcast BFFs.
The 26-year-old influencer quickly responded with her own Instagram Story. She posted a selfie making a surprised face with the text “Nurse he’s loose again” and crying-laughing emojis.
LaPaglia also shared a screenshot of a Google search for “how do i file a restraining order.”
Dave Portnoy, Barstool Sports founder, responded to Bryan’s video by reposting it with the caption “Oh no. How are we gonna recover?”
The Relationship Timeline
Bryan and LaPaglia confirmed their relationship in July 2023 after months of dating rumors. The couple made several public appearances together over the next year.
They walked their first red carpet together at the 2024 Grammys in Los Angeles.
In October 2024, Bryan announced their breakup on Instagram. He wrote that he’d had “an incredibly hard year personally and struggled through some pretty severe things.”
Bryan said he thought “it would be beneficial for both of us to go our different ways.”
LaPaglia said she felt “really blindsided” by the announcement in her own Instagram Stories response.
Abuse Allegations
Several weeks after the split, LaPaglia made serious allegations against Bryan on her BFFs podcast.
“The last year of my life has been the hardest year of my life dealing with the abuse from this dude. I’m still scared right now because I’m scared of him. My brain’s rewired and I’m scared to make him mad.”
Bryan’s representatives didn’t respond to requests for comment at the time. He hasn’t publicly addressed the allegations.
Moving Forward
LaPaglia spoke about the relationship again in January for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit’s digital cover story.
She said Bryan had previously told her to turn down an invitation to the magazine’s 60th anniversary celebration.
“This cover is me being me again and taking control of my life. This is my body; my body isn’t that experience, and even though I’m not 100% in it right now, this is me.”
LaPaglia called the cover shoot her “favorite f— you” on a petty level.
The latest exchange shows tensions between the former couple remain high months after their public breakup.
