Andrew Firestone and Ivana Bozilovic Firestone are ending their marriage after 17 years.
The Bachelor alum announced over the weekend that he and Ivana are separating in an Instagram post that’s since been deleted.
“Those who know us well know that family has always been at the foundation of our lives and at the center of everything we do. After much reflection and many hours of counseling we have decided that we can best serve our children and honor that commitment to family by moving forward separately as co-parents.”
Andrew is 50. Ivana is 47.
“While this was not an easy decision, we remain united in raising our children with love, stability, and the values we share. Though no longer a couple, we will always be a family, cheering from the actual and proverbial sidelines for our children’s – and each other’s – happiness and success.”
The former couple added that their 17-year marriage brought them three children and created bonds that “will always endure.”
The Split Comes Just Weeks After Their Anniversary
Andrew and Ivana’s 17th wedding anniversary was July 5th.
Neither posted about their anniversary on social media.
The couple got engaged in 2007 and married the following year. They have three children together: sons Adam Brooks, 16, and Shane, 11, and daughter Anja Jasmine, 14.
Ivana Focuses on Her Future
Ivana hasn’t addressed the split publicly yet.
The Serbian-born model did share what seems like a personal message on Instagram on Sunday, August 31st.
“She’s working on three things right now: herself, her life, her future. She is ME “
Ivana is also an actress. She’s appeared in National Lampoon’s Van Wilder and Wedding Crashers.
Andrew’s Bachelor Background
Andrew starred as the third lead of the Bachelor franchise in 2003.
He’s the great-grandson of Firestone Tire and Rubber Company founder Harvey S. Firestone. The season ended with Andrew engaged to contestant Jen Schefft.
That romance didn’t last. The pair split in December 2003.
Andrew has made several appearances on future Bachelor seasons and anniversary specials since then. He’s also appeared on other reality shows.
