Ariana Biermann announced her breakup with longtime boyfriend Hudson McLeroy on Instagram on October 14. The 23-year-old reality star shared the news through her Instagram Stories.
“Hudson and i have decided to go our separate ways. while these things are never easy, we both know it’s what’s best for us right now. We are so grateful for all the love and support you’ve shown us over the years.”
McLeroy reposted Biermann’s announcement on his own social media.
“Sometimes life takes you in different directions and that’s okay.”
The couple had been together for nearly a decade since high school.
Their Relationship Timeline
Biermann and McLeroy first went public with their relationship in 2018 when they attended their high school homecoming together. However, their connection started earlier than that public debut.
Their relationship wasn’t always smooth sailing. According to Bravo TV, the couple had an on-again, off-again dynamic that included a brief breakup before they got back together in 2022.
Despite the ups and downs, they frequently expressed their love publicly on social media.
In October 2023, Biermann called McLeroy her “soulmate” in an Instagram post. She wrote about their connection: “There are no words to explain how thankful i am for you. I have never enjoyed every second w someone like i do w you. you truly are my absolute best friend. the love we have is so pure.”
McLeroy was equally expressive about his feelings. In 2022, he shared 21 reasons he loved Biermann in a detailed Instagram post. He highlighted “the way [she finds] joy in the little things” and how she makes him “happier than [he’s] ever been.”
Recent Challenges
The couple moved to New York together in July 2024. Their relationship faced public scrutiny when both were arrested the following month on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
Biermann pled guilty to reckless driving and possession and use of drug-related objects in 2025, according to records obtained by PEOPLE. The status of McLeroy’s case remains unclear.

Both Biermann and McLeroy appeared as main cast members on Next Gen NYC, which premiered in June 2025. The Bravo reality series featured children of other Bravo stars navigating life in New York City.
Their relationship was documented throughout the show’s debut season.
As recently as April 2025, the couple was still publicly supportive of each other. Biermann commented on McLeroy’s Instagram promo for the show: “i’m so happy we got to do this together, i love you .”
McLeroy responded with his own post praising his now-ex-girlfriend: “I always knew we’d be here together. I used to dream of days like these when we first met. I love you @arianabiermann.”
