Alix Earle Turns 25 Following Split from Braxton Berrios

Alix Earle celebrated her 25th birthday Tuesday surrounded by close friends following her recent breakup with NFL player Braxton Berrios.

The social media influencer opened up about her emotional state in a “get ready with me” video posted the day before her birthday. She admitted the past two weeks haven’t been easy.

“I keep kind of just going in waves of feeling good. For a second, I’m having fun, and then the next second I’m sad and a little shaky.”

Earle said having her best friends around during her birthday has been crucial for her mental health.

“Just having company is honestly the best thing right now, cause being alone is not great,” she explained while applying makeup in the TikTok video. “And even going on my phone, I’ve been trying not to scroll so much.”

The content creator said this marks the first year she’s felt down on her birthday. She typically looks forward to the celebration.

Beyond the Berrios split, Earle hinted at other personal challenges that have overwhelmed her recently.

“It was really crazy – this one day about two weeks ago – I feel like 10 different things just came from different angles,” she shared. “So I’m just really grateful to be here with my friends right now.”

Earle nearly canceled her birthday trip because she “was feeling down in the dumps and just wanted to lay in bed.” She documented her journey in a separate TikTok vlog, writing in the caption: “This is quite the turn around from crying on my couch for 12 hrs straight yesterday.”

She described feeling physically ill from her emotional state.

“Yesterday I was sitting on my couch, and I felt, like, green. I don’t know how to describe that, but I just was so nauseous in my own thoughts and sad but, like, numb. I felt like I couldn’t move.”

Breakup Confirmation

PEOPLE confirmed earlier this month that Earle and Berrios, 30, ended their relationship after more than two years of dating. Multiple sources said the breakup was mutual.

Earle addressed the split directly in an emotional Instagram video on Dec. 13.

“It’s just been really hard to process in general, and I think why I’ve been scared to say something is because I feel like it just makes it more real,” she began. “Braxton and I are no longer together.”

The couple had been doing long distance since June. Earle said they rarely saw each other during that period.

During a recent stay in Los Angeles, the Dancing with the Stars finalist realized she wanted to remain there permanently. That realization created complications for their relationship.

“I think that was a scary thing for me to realize because it meant us not being in the same place,” she explained.

Earle said she wanted to focus on herself and felt she couldn’t provide the support Berrios needed.

“I want him to have someone with him 24/7 who can support him and be there for him – and he wasn’t really expecting that of me, I think it was more a me thing – but I constantly felt guilty.”

She noted they seemed to be “on two different paths” but emphasized she still loves the Houston Texans wide receiver. The pair began dating in February 2023 after meeting at a party.

Birthday Reflections

Before her celebrations, Earle shared her changing perspective on birthdays in a TikTok video posted Dec. 10.

“Is my frontal lobe developing bc I’m about to turn 25 and usually I stress abt having the biggest party but all I want to do is workout, meditate, play card games, & have good convos w the ppl closest to me,” she wrote.

In the caption, she added: “Either I’m maturing or just rlly going thru it .. maybe both. “

Earle mentioned looking forward to spending the holidays with her family. Her sister Ashtin appeared in one of her recent videos, giving her a supportive hug.
