Ali Wong and Bill Hader have officially ended their relationship after more than two years of dating, according to a source close to the situation.
The comedian and former Saturday Night Live star struggled to maintain their relationship amid demanding career schedules, a source tells PEOPLE. Despite the split, the pair remain on good terms.
Wong, 41, and Hader, 45, first sparked dating rumors in late 2022 when they were spotted together at various events in Los Angeles.
The relationship developed following Wong’s highly publicized divorce from her husband of eight years. The Always Be My Maybe star finalized her divorce in 2022, citing irreconcilable differences.
Hader, meanwhile, has been focusing on his HBO series Barry and various film projects. The Emmy winner previously dated actress Anna Kendrick briefly in 2020.
Busy Schedules Take Toll
Sources indicate that conflicting work commitments made it difficult for the couple to spend quality time together. Wong has been touring extensively with her stand-up comedy shows while developing new projects for Netflix.
The Inside Out voice actor has also been juggling multiple film and television commitments.
“They both have incredible respect for each other,” the source notes. “This wasn’t about any dramatic issues – just two people with very full professional lives.”
Moving Forward Separately
Both Wong and Hader have remained private about their personal lives throughout their relationship. Neither has publicly commented on the split.
Wong recently wrapped filming on her upcoming Netflix special. She’s also set to star in several film projects slated for 2024 release.
Hader continues work on post-Barry projects and has several comedy ventures in development.
The former couple was last seen together publicly at a Los Angeles restaurant in early December, where they appeared relaxed and friendly according to onlookers.
